We spent over three weeks at the Villas at Newport Coast while we went through the in-vitro process. We had so much fun!
It started out for a day at a hotel in Irvine while we waited for our reservations at the Villas
We love the Villas--the pools, the weather, everything!
C and I lost a bet to each other playing 'd-i-a-p-e-r-s' at basketball. Here's the result of losing:
The kids love the carousel at Fashion Island

And of course, Ruby's, at the end of the Balboa Pier
Where C chose to have his birthday lunch
They bring these cool fold-out toys every time for the kids...sometimes airplanes, sometimes classic cars, always with stickers, always super cool. The Rhoads cousins drove down to join us for a couple of days

We went to our family favorite, Maggiano's (Irvine) for dinner and the Manager gave us a special tour of the kitchen
What's a 9th bday without an electric guitar? He's been faithful with piano and wanted to add this...
Another favorite eating place is the Sugar Shack in HB
Time for the beach!

Hiked from the Villas down to Crystal Cove SB and along the board walk to enjoy nature and watch the surfers

As well as the tidepools at CDM

We topped it off with a trip to Magic Mountain and Martinos in Burbank

It wasn't all fun, though
Here we are prepping the injections for invitro. Sadly, this, the main reason for our trip didn't end up working out. Although we feel a great loss, we still have wonderful memories of our time together.
